do you offer Elopement videos?
I do! I offer both elopement ceremony films and highlight films. Feel free to check out some of my recent work on Vimeo.
Where should we elope?
Most of my couples elope in Shenandoah National Park. But if avoiding crowds is your goal then I highly recommend making your home-base southwestern Virginia and letting me show you some of the incredible hidden gems further south.
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR elopements?
All travel fees are included within a four hour drive of Roanoke. That means if you are planning a wedding in Charlottesville or anywhere in the Shenandoah Valley or Shenandoah National Park or Boone, NC or the New River Gorge National Park, there are absolutely no travel fees for your wedding. I don't currently take on weddings outside of that radius.
What makes you different?
I photograph mostly elopements and micro weddings — this isn't a side niche for me.
I'm genuinely outdoorsy — I'm constantly scouting new locations.
I photograph AND film — which means your gallery and video tell one cohesive story.
I'm really good with awkward humans...seriously.

What if We're Awkward?
Genuinely, everyone says that. I will give you direction and jokes and even space to just *be* the whole time so you never feel like you have to perform or recreate a Pinterest model.
What if we don't hike?
You're not alone! Many couples choose an overlook on Skyline Drive for their ceremony or have their entire elopement at a small venue or Airbnb. No hiking required.
Kara made my wedding day happen! Everything from finding the location, helping me find a florist, and pick out an airbnb. If it wasn't for her the day wouldn't have happened so easily. Through the entire process Kara hung in there every time I changed my mind (67 times to be exact, including my wedding date!) and handled all of it so kindly. She builds a quick relationship with you and brings out the most real emotion in the pictures.
