Miguella + John’s Destination Wedding in Tobago

Miguella and John were married in the Caribbean on the island of Tobago. John is from West Virginia and Miguella has lived in Charleston for several years, so we got to do their engagement session at Babcock State Park along the New River Gorge before heading to the beach for their wedding several months later! 

One of my favorite things about their wedding was all of the handmade details Miguella and her mom put together. Miguella’s bridesmaids carried handcrafted seashell bouquets, Miguella made  barefoot sandals for all of her bridesmaids, and she and her mom decorated shells with all the guests’ names. Their dogs (who had to stay home in WV) were featured on honorary posters made with photos I took at the couple’s engagement photos. John’s groomsmen wore DIY seashell boutonnieres. 

I love when couples incorporate their own unique style into their wedding day, and am so glad I got to be with these two when they celebrated their engagement in West Virginia and their wedding on their favorite island!
