Adventure Elopement
You need an elopement expert, not just a photographer.
When you book with me you have the option of choosing a photo + video package. I can seamlessly switch between photo and video over the course of the day so you can have both an incredible elopement film and a beautiful gallery showcasing your day.
Photo + Video
I'm from Virginia and have been adventuring in the Blue Ridge Mountains my whole life. I've lived over all over the region from Charlottesville to Blacksburg to Boone to Charleston, WV. Whatever your goal for your elopement spot, I can help you find it because these mountains are home. I'm not flying in from the other side of the country and trying to figure everything out from Google Maps. I know this region. And I love sharing that knowledge with you.
Not a destination wedding Photographer
There are tons of resources available for planning a big wedding. But not that much for small ones. So I created my own. When you book, you'll get access to my comprehensive Elopement Guidebook. I also send out a pre-elopement questionnaire that I use to help you craft a day with the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. You're not just getting a photographer, but also a guide.

How the process works
Let's Get to know each other!
Schedule a free discovery call. This is what I call a "first date" between you two and me - we'll get to know each other and make sure it's a good fit!
Pick your Package, Sign Contract
Pick your package. I'll then send over a contract and invoice. A $2000 retainer and signed contract holds your date!
I'll Assist in Planning your Day
- Suggest locations for your ceremony
- Help you find an Airbnb or VRBO if needed
- Send vendor recommendations for things like hair and makeup and officiants
- Suggest activities you might include on your wedding day such as stargazing, a picnic, or stand up paddle boarding.

We'll keep in touch about what you have planned for your day. I'll use that information and my experience to put together a recommended timeline that ensures 1). We are taking advantage of the best time of day for lighting and seclusion and 2). Leaves room for you to relax and enjoy the experience.

Gallery Delivery
You'll receive a "sneak peek" of your photos within two business days. Your full gallery and video is delivered within 10 weeks!
Album design & delivery
If your package includes an album, we start the album design process. From start to finish this usually takes 1-4 weeks. Your album is printed and delivered within 2 weeks of the final design being "approved" - all your incredible images are you in your hands!
Step-by-step, here's what to expect
Isn't an elopement just a ceremony and "a few photos?"
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Most people are shocked when I tell them that my most booked package includes up to eight hours of coverage. And it's not uncommon for that eight hours to not be enough.
Here's the thing - boring, average photos are quick and easy. But for you to enjoy the experience and have photos that tell the story of that experience takes time.
I'll photograph everything from start to finish.
Imagine having a lazy breakfast together, writing your vows, taking your dog on a walk, getting dressed, driving to the trailhead, exchanging rings, enjoying a picnic, celebrating with whisky shots and cupcakes, dancing around the fire, jumping in the hot tub and watching the moonrise.
When you get your photos back it's not just the epic moments but the entire narrative. Your one, incredible day, filled with all of the moments just as you experienced them.

How many people can come to our elopement?
As many as you want! My packages for weddings and elopements are structured a little differently, though, based on my experience with the needs of both days. Celebrations with more than 50 people often need a second shooter.
Will you create a custom package for us?
Yes! Just get in touch if one of the packages doesn't fit your needs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will you plan our day for us?
I make a lot of suggestions but I do not consider myself a "planner." What I will do is send you timeline options, location suggestions, vendor suggestions and ideas for your reception -- even if it's just a dinner for two by a private chef.
We don't want a wedding album -- do we get a discount on the package if you take that out?
The albums included in the packages are heavily discounted as part of the package bundle. If you opt out of the album you can get a $250 discount on the package.
When will we get our photos back?
Galleries and videos are delivered within 10 weeks elopement
