The Quirk Hotel is a boutique hotel chain with locations in Charlottesville and Richmond that’s perfect for a small, artsy wedding.
The Quirk Hotel in Charlottesville can host anywhere from micro weddings like Robin and Vito had to 200 person weddings. However, they are really best suited for weddings with 120 guests or fewer.
The Charlottesville location has four event spaces.
The Lower Gallery can host up 80 people and features lots of natural light, a stunning staircase and a revolving gallery of art.
The Fiddlehead Ballroom can host up to 120 people and feels like a little bit more of a corporate conference room to me, but with the right decor and florals could be really lovely for an indoor space.
The Primrose Ballroom is the nicer of the two ballroom options. It can fit up to 175 people and features floor to ceiling windows on one side, white walls and modern architecture.
The Rooftop is the most popular event space. It can host up to 200 people and features mountain views, bistro lights and built-in bars.
For really small weddings, the Quirk Hotel’s restaurant: The Pink Grausse, can be reserved for private dining.Â

If you’re planning a micro wedding, you can really do things non-traditionally. Robin and Vito opted to do a first look in Shenandoah National Park at sunrise. And then we met their friends and family at an overlook off of Skyline Drive for the ceremony.
Then we took a break. (Split coverage is a service I offer my elopement and micro wedding couples who book 8 hours more more.)
In the afternoon, everyone met back up again at the Quirk Hotel in Charlottesville for their intimate wedding reception.
They opted for one long table that Robin decorated with her own florals and pottery (she is a florist with Strawberry Fields Flowers in Richmond.
Dancing isn’t their thing so they skipped that part of the traditional wedding, instead opting for speeches, drinks and just hanging out enjoying the beautiful weather.
