Hi, I'm Kara!
I’m Kara—your Virginia micro wedding photographer, calm presence, and built-in guide for a day that feels like you.
When I’m not out chasing good light in the mountains, I’m usually training (I’m currently deep in my HYROX era), reading at an honestly unhinged pace (around 10 books a month), or hanging out with my four dogs.
I’m vegetarian, a regular at the farmers market, and I care about the kinds of things that make life better for everyone—like fully funded public lands and public libraries. My ideal vacation looks like a long-distance hike somewhere in Europe: simple, beautiful, and grounded. If that sounds like your kind of vibe too, you’ll probably feel right at home here.
Kara was such a pleasure to work with for our recent intimate wedding in October. She put us at ease from our first conversation and quickly made us feel comfortable in front of the camera.
